Sarito CL 9H20 & Urgent Request for Inspirational Verses

Hi All,

Haven't done a CL in a while.  I've finished 5 out of 6 of my exams.  Now prepping for my biggest and final performance...

Wondering if any of you could provide suggestions for favorite/inspirational verses from the bible.  I am getting married next month and so I'm also trying to plan the wedding ceremony, etc. all at the same time.

Of course, I procrastinated on this as well... though it is supposed to be an enjoyable activity!!

Suggestions greatly appreciated!  :)

I thought it would be nice for people to be able to re-find, or reuse some of the inspiring thread starters. So here's place to post them, and to browse back to find them.

Seeking Technical Advice: Free AV and search diversion

I know a number of people here are more tech savvy than I am. I'm having a couple of problems that I'd like advice about. One is choosing which free anti-virus program to use. I've been using AVG through the 8.5 version but lately having troubles with it. The other is addressing a recent problem with searching: searches being redirected to ad sites. I've started using a free spyware program (Spyware Doctor) but that seems not to have solved the problem.

In Recovery?

I would love to hear from someone who is recovered for a while -

Inner peace!!! (Careful, you might lol!)

poem: "The Old Violin" (or "The Touch of the Master's Hand")

The Touch of the Master's Hand by Myra Brooks Welch (also sometimes called the Old Violin

or the Old Auctioneer)

'Twas battered and scarred, and the auctioneer
Thought it scarcely worth his while
To waste much time on the old violin,
But held it up with a smile.
"What am I bidden, good folks," he cried,
"Who'll start the bidding for me?"
"A dollar, a dollar. Then two! Only two?
Two dollars, and who'll make it three?"
"Three dollars, once; three dollars, twice;

recording of pro's radiator

This isn't a great recording. Windows Sound Recorder adjusted the volume down after the beginning - thought it was too loud (but that's how loud it is!). Also, I don't currently have a program to convert it to MP3 format, so it's .wma. But if you want to hear my radiator, here it is:

Happy New Year everyone!

Just checking in for a bit.  Happy New Year everyone!

a good day

Since I posted my sorrows on Christmas, I thought I'd post that New Year's Eve I will not be alone. I had two invitations. Some friends invited me to come visit them at their house in the Catskills. I couldn't make that - the NYS Dept of Labor chose New Year's Eve for my demand appearance (or lose benefits). But just now I got an invitation to a party at the home of a former boss who I like a lot and haven't see in quite some time. I'm really looking forward to this! :)

LARK & 44 - READ THIS

Every time you write to me, I write back with answers and instructions and you do not respond. Then six weeks later you write to me with the exact same requests. If you can't read your email and answer, please stop writing to me. This is ridiculous.

Post political threads in Miscellaneous?

Hi!

Freedom of speech is very important. I want everyone on this board to feel comfortable about posting about any issue.

We have a section of the forum called Off-Topic Discussions/Miscellaneous. I think it would be great for someone to have a thread there called "I feel inspired by _______" [whoever], or with whichever topic is easily understandable about what the thread will be about; then when people click on it, they know in advance what it is.

A question for otherwise normal people about compliments (women related)

Hey girls,

This is something I've been wondering about. How do you react if a male stranger compliments what you are wearing. Do you feel like its creepy, annoying, nice, a dumb pickup line or something else?

Waaayyyy off topic: Listen to Bob Dylan's new album on NPR for free

I'm really enjoying this album, there are a lot of songs about getting older and running out of time, so maybe it's not quite so far off topic after all.  I'm gonna have to buy this.

The name of the album is "Tell Tale Signs"

Technical glitch?

Pardon me if this is the wrong place for this...is there a glitch going on? The editing option seems to be missing from posts i've written even when i am signed on.
