pro's CI - 10:55pm

I didn't procrastinate too much. I'm ready for bed.

10:15pm CI for Lark

Things aren't getting done well today, but after going out to a meeting, I feel a bit more positive, and I'm going to get some work done. At least there won't be that DREAD upon waking in the morning. When yesterday oozes into the next day can really be bad time.
1. Work till I find a nice stopping point on work project
2. Do enough cleaning to make the morning more pleasant
3. Wash dishes (That's not THAT hard!)

Hi Pro!!! Glad to see you're on line. How are you?

I'm okay...

Life is busy - too busy. Stressful. But I'm okay! :)

I need to get ready for bed without procrastinating - main reason I'm checking in.

Thomas C., 8:55 a.m.

Just got to the library, and I'm posting *first thing*, before I do anything else. Didn't meditate at home, b/c I couldn't sleep between 3:50 and 5:15, and then slept in. So...

To do:

* meditate, brush teeth, etc.
* revise proposal for conference
* balance checkbook
* finish bibliography for class 2
* spending plan
* grade 3 papers
* pay bills
* go to office, print and pick up more papers
* pay some bills, online and by phone
* grade many more papers

Thomas C., 11:20 a.m.

Ta da:

* meditate, brush teeth, etc.
* revise proposal for conference
* work on bibliography for class 2, next term (haven't finished)

To do:

* balance checkbook
* grade 3 papers
* spending plan
* email a BUNCH of people (note that I inserted this, but I really need to do it)
* handle quizzes from class 1 current term
* get more papers
* spending plan
* grade bunch of papers

However, I'm really feeling my tiredness, and DON'T want to balance the checkbook. Don't want to face the problem of Not Enough Money; don't want the hassle and feelings of futility, frustration, and so on.

But saying it out loud helps.

Thomas C., 3:30 p.m.

Ta da :-)

* emailed a bunch of people--all caught up, or at least feels like it
* graded one paper

To do:

* balance checkbook
* grade more papers
* grade two quizzes
* spending plan
* go over all quiz grades
* grade bunches of papers

It's really frustrating. Rexroth is having a confusing day. I'm just having a tired, stalling, procrastinating day. Just. Don't. Want. To. Do. It.

Okay: I'm going to do the first step on the checkbook-balancing, and check RIGHT back in here.

Thomas C., 4:03 p.m.

Did the checkbook. Not all the way, but did it as far as I can. In a good position for tonight, to finish balancing.

I really DON'T want to look into the quizzes, but as David Allen says in _Getting Things Done_, if stuff hangs over your head, it saps your energy, and these quizzes are really, really sapping my energy.

On the other hand, so are the papers: 40 of them, each 30 pages long. They actually go fast, because most of them require no comments (and that is where the time-sink is), but have I read them? Well, three of them. Three out of 40. They're sapping my energy even more.

It would actually make more sense to grade 3-4 more, then deal with the quizzes tomorrow.

Rexroth 15.34 GMT

Gosh I feel muddled. Suddenly felt better and did some preparation for redecoration in my kitchen and later went out to do some banking which was important but not urgent some shopping and visted the church building. Now home and confused.

Regards Rexroth

Rexroth 17. 36 GMT

More emails and phone calls and I'm more confused. Time for tea and rest and thought.

CI for lark. I'm having a rough day too.

I certainly know what you mean. I'm doing work I don't like at all, so thought I'd take a coffee break to step away for a few minutes. Probably I'd better break it down into small increments for today. Otherwise I won't get anything done.

Rexroth 22.52 GMT

Thank's Lark. Some things are happening in my life and I'm not sure they are the right things.

It's bedtime

Night everyone
