Just for today I am committing to doing my eight hours of work before using other media. The exceptions are the following: posting about progress on PA, a scheduled twelve step meeting, media used for exercising. I want to be doing eight hours of uninterrupted work daily. Will check in on my progress later.
I also choose to do my routine, until I'm able to get surgery: brush teeth/floss, exercise (steps + cardio video X2), breakfast, pills, shower. [Edit: 12:25am]. I did it!
Checking in at EOD:
I did go on Twitter sadly toward the beginning of the day. I did navigate there for a minute before navigating away. I know that both occasions added up to less than five minutes. My work browser is set to block at ten minutes. Aside from that I was good about media. There were some times when I used Amazon customer service to access my new device, and perhaps ultimately doing those types of personal business items are the type of media I want to avoid in the future. My justification is that I now have a kindle which is an excellent resource that relieves a lot of stress for me. I can fall asleep now, b/c I can read a book.Yeah, not perfect, but my reasons for avoiding media are more along the lines of streaming content and doomscrolling on twitter, and neither of those happened. One other thing I did with media is I emailed back someone who was setting up a Coda convention. I felt codependently that I had to reply to confirm the link worked for me. And I signed up. So that is something to put on a list of "later media" items next time. I think why I didn't quite hit eight hours by EOD is due to this, and not leaving packages until the weekend. But to be fair, I was expecting food today, so I get why I felt I need to get the packages. I'm starting a later list for any outstanding media-related things now.

ORGANISE BY GROUPING TASKS THEN PRINT OUT MY TO DO LIST FOR APPRAISAL
Work on the appraisal section by section - USING THE WORD DOCUMENT I CREATED YESTERDAY FOR FLEXIBILITY THEN PASTE LATER ON
Go back and flesh out further e.g. get down on paper all the CPD completed from 2016 onwards using sources
Get highlighter and highlight the headings on the standard MAG form (pre-2020) that are not on the 2020 MAG form - likely that TPK will want this completed as appraisal spans from 2016
Jot down all sources of data both electronic and paper DONE YESTERDAY
