pro's last check-in - 10:20pm

I'm ready for bed now, though still a little hyper. Hopefully I'll be able to fall asleep soon. Maybe I'll watch a little TV. I'm not even going to try to make my bed or wash dishes on workday mornings anymore - no reason to make the bed if I'm not going to be here all day.

To Do:
 Rising time: 6am.
 Shower.
 Dress.
 Make and eat breakfast.
Look up something for work and send link to my work email address.
Write letter to cancel my health insurance (I'm insured through my job now).
Call inn to cancel travel plans and make new plans to go there on weekends.
 Call to cancel dentist appointment.
 Call to cancel another appointment.
 Arrange weekend travel (call innkeepers).
Write to person who owes me money.
 Wash dishes.
 Contacts.
Make bed - convert futon from bed to couch. (Maybe - I haven't been doing this on work days.)
Lay out pills for the day.
 Take pills - dose 1 of 3.
 Go to work.
 Take pills - dose 2 of 3.
 Dinner.
 Take pills - dose 3 of 3.
 Bedtime routine.

Hi all!

Is it cold here Brrrrrrrrrrrrrah!  Mollie thanks for the site, good luck. I took a looked at it and it looks like cognative therapy which I like. You may want to look at 'Taking out the trash [forms are similar to kates] and the feeling goodhand book'.

Lark I just got that book maybe you could post to the book thread by chapter and we could go through it  together?

Hi HR,

Thanks for the suggestions. I've tried cognitive behavior therapy (with 2 different therapists) and have also read much of Feeling Good and tried the exercises. I agree that Byron Katie's work is reminiscent of it, but so far I'm actually finding it far more helpful and significantly different. I googled "Taking Out the Trash" but didn't find anything that looked like what you were referring to. Do you happen to have the URL?

Thanks,
Mollie

please don't get discouraged

I know that when something doesn't go the way you planned it can really affect you. Try not to let it happen. It's just life - things rarely go the way we planned. Part of planning is planning for the unexpected.

Wishing you well Monica

Good to read your posts again and wishing your son well. I remember when my Mum was a teacher and conjunctivitis used to spread through the pupils.

I'm inspired by your sig. line which I recite when I feel it's not worth bothering to do anything.

Kind Regards Rexroth

Hey folks, we have a pun here! Thanks Rex!!

not a nice thing to have, but "conjunctivitis spreading through the pupils"  "caught my eye" here. Sorry for the bad humor, but I had to post.

Oh!!

Sorry I really hadn't noticed it. Rexroth

Lark's CI 9:25 am

It's still below 0 degrees(F) here, so I probably won't work in my workshop today. Nothing is scheduled that's urgent. I recently bought a copy of THE PROCRASTINATORS HANDBOOK, and I'm going to read in it this morning.
Done:
basic morning routine
phone calls
filled kitchen sink with water for dishes
TODO:
meditation and reflection
wash dishes
damp mop floors
read book
get cat food and "me" food

All for now. Have a good day everyone.

Rexroth 17.04 GMT

Just back from the voluntary work and music project and am very tired and quite happy. If this is all I do today it is enough. I feel grateful for having good people to work with and being able to do something useful.

and to think I might not have gone...

Rexroth 21.07 GMT

I've just sorted out collection arrangements for the craft machines I'm buying. I go on Wednesday. I feel good about myself for doing this. I have found it very difficult to do and its been a major procrastination on my part.

Thanks for being here and for support.

Regards Rexroth

Rexroth 22.33 GMT

Now need to get some sleep so signing off. Prayers and reflection on the day and then sleep. I'm already in bed.
