Mollie's Missing Last CI
Sometimes I feel like the gods are conspiring against me, but I suspect it's really just me conspiring against myself. I finally got myself to go out to a cafe late yesterday afternoon to work. I'd made a CD of what I needed from my desktop computer so I could use it on the laptop. Got to the cafe, bought my tea & scone, set up the laptop, and discovered that nothing had copied to the CD, so there really wasn't any work I could do (I have a draft of a document that I needed to be adding to & editing). So I left, went home & called it a night.
Confessions
I did very little today. I spent the day surfing on the net, playing with some new software I got in the mail today, and watching movies with my family. The kids had a half day of school today. So I spent a lot of time goofing off with them.
If I can't do it perfectly, I'll do it anyway. If I can't do it all, I'll do some. If I do nothing, nothing gets done.
"I don't feel like it" is a poor sacrifice for your dreams.

Hmmm... still here making phone calls. I was really dreading & procrastinating on one of them; finally made it and that feels great. But I've gotta get going on the writing. One more call & then that's it.

I had a relatively early morning meeting, so I got my routine done before that & now I'm back. Need to make a few phone calls. Then I'm headed out to work on my writing project at a library or cafe. It's much harder for me to procrastinate at places like that.

It's very cold and windy today, and the temps are supposed to fall. I have to do some things outside, so getting started is the best plan. That way I can come inside from time to time.
Done:

heat on in workshop
ToDo:
Period of meditation
Start first part of outside project (20-30 minutes)
Come inside and work on inside project for a period , and go back outside for a while, alternating them
Wash dishes
Do one load of laundry

Something I've been procrastinating on for months is done, and I'm awaiting payment. What a relief. It's finally been crossed of the "to do" list. I don't want to EVER get into anything like that again.

Broken lock on my flat door so can't go out which is a nuisance. I could of course get on with doing stuff in my flat but somehow I feel that I'm putting in sufficient energy in waiting and feeling cross and worrying that they won't come today.
OK this is daft so I'll get on with something useful

So I've vacummed up and spent time cleaning and sorting. Just phoned landlords who said that no one would come today to fix the lock but sometime next week they thought. They seem to assume that I will just wait in for them or maybe go out leaving my flat open to whoever feels like helping themselves.
The funny thing is that the reason the lock has become detached and doesn't work is because the Landlords could not be bothered to fix it properly in the first place.
What an opportunity to be patient. I've said the serenity prayer and will be phoning the emergency locksmith just as soon as I know that no body will be coming from the landlords.
Ho hummm....

The landlords sent an out of hours emergency person who fixed the lock and confirmed that the reason it had broken was that the person from the landlords who put it in in the first place did not do it properly. Anyway I've kept my temper and not argued about it and I'm grateful for that.
