hamlet's check-in

Today is a writing day.  I am going to write for 1hr -1&1/2 hours at a stretch, then stop, move around and do some household chores, such as gooking veggies and tea eggs and maybe a walk in the snow.  The idea is to alternate between writing and other activities and keep going for as long as I can.

Out of kilter today as I would normally be at a client's today and tomorrow. I can't think of anywhere I'd want to be less, but still it's distruption to my routine.

It's an inside job...

EleanorBE's Monday List many postings have I written on this site that begin 'Well, I haven't been here for ages but clearly I do need it after all...' etc etc. Quite a few. And here's another one.

To begin positively - I have managed a magnificent six or seven weeks of /not/ putting off losing weight and getting fit. I have lost the 15lb that I've had hanging about unwanted for nearly two years. I'm going swimming three times a week and doing loads of walking and pilates. So that's good. Work Procrastination is not great though. Time to start checking in again. 

Here's how tomorrow goes. 

Get up early (6am) finish grading CD papers. 

Have breakfast with partner. 

Go into work

Check mail (esp to see if you have reply from R - and K)

Have lunch during OH

Plan afternoon session

Look at notes for Wednesday training session, contact C if necessary

Send out mail re. new training session in March

Print out J's thesis to take home

Go for short walk before teaching

Teach afternoon session

Go Home (making sure I'm putting things down I'll definitely be able to tick off, right?)

Prepare dinner

Go through J's thesis for mock viva

Read through J.R.'s plan for Tues 

Eat dinner

(TUES...just so I don't wake up in night thinking about it: another early morning, read article, attend R's session, teach 1st years, do J's mock, finish planning/copying for Weds training, go swimming on way home)
