Hjf2bme check in 1/12/14

Every moment is a second chance, I hope...just slept(procrastination) through the whole day..turned the phone off last night so no one would interrupt me...now, it's just me, myself, and I! And my higher power! No more procrastinating! I am off to catch that train called Progress!

5:00 coffee and plan

6:45
Just remembered I HAVE to go grocery shopping tonight! Ugh! God help me please! Better do that now! Blah! Thank God for a 24 hr store! ok, made my grocery list...now, will declutter the dining room a little before I go so I am ready to get to work when I get back...

7:10 dining room....ugh!

work related stuff!

ready or not, here it go! I can do this! I love being on the other side of "this"

3000 word essay to write TODAY...

And that is my to-do list. Write essay. Write essay. Get started on writing essay. Do some writing...get something down. Anything. Switch off wordfeud/switch off phone... aaaaaarrrrrggggghhhhhhh. Ok, breathe.

Seriously, why do I do this? Anyway, after I've posted this, my next step is to have a snack to keep me going for a while, then go into the chatbox, then do a burst, and then keep bursting till I've made some progress. And use the chatbox and bursts and my Higher Power and everything I've ever learned about depressurising the situation so's I can go 'Finished! It's not perfect, but it's good enough, and most importantly, it's DONE!!!' Oh what a nice feeling that'll be...

Ok. Check in with progress report later.

Failed to focus. Had the tv on, then the radio on, then got up to eat, etc etc

"The goal of recovery is balance, but sometimes we get there by going to extremes.

Today,
I will be gentle with myself, understanding that sometimes to reach the
middle ground of balance, I need to explore the peaks and valleys.
Sometimes, the only way I can extricate myself from a valley is to jump
high enough to land on a peak, and then slowly ease myself down."
From The Language of Letting Go by Melody Beattie
