P.S. If you don't know how to post graphics, just a nice text message is fine. :)

I couldn't go to bed without brushing my teeth - too gross. But now I'm really, really going to bed, no kidding!!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.
bed, hah!
Did I say in my last post that I was going to bed? I didn't. There was an annoying formatting problem on the Web site that I just had to fix. Now it's 2:30am. :(
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.

pro's CI - 1am (SUNDAY!!)

I really, really need to go to bed. I have a headache and heartburn. The longer I stay up the more my head throbs. Plus I'm screwing up my "early to rise" plan. I'm not even going to brush my teeth. Good night!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.
pro's CI - 12:30am - (SUNDAY!!)
I seem to be incapable of doing anything in moderation. I either procrastinate for years, or time binge until I do three days of work in a single stretch. So now it's 12:30am. I accomplished what I set out to do, but it's way past my bedtime.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.

E-mailed you via "contact" just now.

When you get the chance, check to see if you received my message to you. Take care.

Contact form is fixed

Being compulsive, I couldn't go to sleep without fixing the contact form. Now it's nearly 4am.

I wonder how many people tried to email me with that form and thought I was just ignoring them. It used to work. I don't know how it broke, but it's working again now.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.
oops - contact form has problems
I just looked, and no message arrived. So I tested it myself, and indeed something is wrong with it. I didn't get my own test message. This is very strange because (1) it used to work, and (2) I gave the code to my niece the other day and it worked for her. It's too late at night for me to start debugging this. I'll check it out tomorrow. Thanks for alerting me to the problem.
In the meantime, another way you can email me is to click on my username and use the contact sheet for my username. I just tested that, and I'm sure it works. Or you can send email to pro at the domain name of this site (I'm not writing it out to avoid being spammed to death).
hey Monica!
You've been missed! Where've you been? Is everything okay?
re:hey Monica!
Thank you Pro. You're very kind to say so. I've missed you all too. I am back and ready to try again. But a little slower this time around I think.
See you tomorrow
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If I can't do it perfectly, I'll do it anyway. If I can't do it all, I'll do some. If I do nothing, nothing gets done.

"I don't feel like it" is a poor sacrifice for your dreams.

pro's CI - 8pm

I'm still working on the major project I've been procrastinating on for over a year. Part 1 is done. Onto the next...

I'm getting hungry.

Advice on something

Pro could I get your advice on something? What I understood from the gist of some of your earlier posts is that you've done some work as a writer. If I'm not mistaken, then I'd really appreciate a bit of professional advice. I'm going to start a new thread about it in the Off-Topic area in a few minutes. Hope to see you there - it's kind of urgent.

I am extremely fired up after listening to one of Steve Pavlina's podcasts. I'm doing some work that I've been procrastinating on for years.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.
Wow!
Could you post a link to the podcast? Thanks.
here it is, but...
...it hit me that way because I'm all set up to do what he was describing - I was just procrastinating on that last mile. Go to his audio page here:
http://www.stevepavlina.com/audio/
Then click the link for "How to Make Money Without a Job".
I got a lot out of listening to it. He's a smart guy.
jj's 2:30 p.m. CI
It's a beautiful snowy day - perfect day to stay inside and be cozy. I'm glad I don't have to work this weekend.
Stayed up way too late watching DVDs last night with R, although I didn't feel sleepy until late, and usually I fall asleep on the couch when we're watching DVDs. So slept in late this morning of course.
Now R is feeling sad and doesn't know why. I often feel like this, but when he's like that, it really upsets me and makes me feel down too. He's napping now; maybe he'll feel better when he wakes up.
X wash face/brush teeth
X get dressed
X eat breakfast/take vits/read
X make notes on chapter from "Too Perfect"
X make bed
X check pay stubs/give receipts to R
X wash dishes/start dishwasher
X try moving large plants around
X water house plants
X take recycling downstairs
X scoop litter
X phone D&K back
X check email
- read "Too Perfect" while R naps
- walk with R
- buy snacks for tonight
- take DVDs back
- feed cat
- empty dishwasher
- make supper
- do dishes
- wash hair
- get snacks together for tonight
- get dressed
- walk to D&K for evening - I will not drink so many candycane shooters this time :P
- wash face/brush teeth
- read before bed
pro's CI - 12:45pm
I left the meeting early because it was so sweltering HOT in that room. Since returning home, I've been emailing with people. Not the best use of my time. I should get down to business. I still feel very tired and lethargic from sitting in that hot room. I want a nap.
To Do:
Rising time: 8am.
Check email.
Make and eat breakfast.
Clear spam folder.
Shower and dress.
Put in contacts.
Lay out pills for day.
Take pills - dose 1 of 3.
Make bed.
Wash dishes.
Work on book.
Go to meeting.
Get mail.
Exercise.
Make and eat lunch.
Take pills - dose 2 of 3.
Wash dishes.
Handle pile. (All that's left is action items like bills.)
Work on back accounting.
Chinese lesson.
Make and eat dinner.
Wash dishes.
Take pills - dose 3 of 3.
Bedtime routine.
Lark's 10:00 CI
People have been calling all morning who want my sevices, but I have too much to do. Since my helper passed away in December, it's been really difficult, and while going through all the hoops to find someone to help even parttime is a pain, it's the lesser pain. Talking "business" with prospective clients has to be done, but nothing gets done while I'm doing it.
To Do:
Morning routine
Meditation and reflection
General housecleaning period
Heat on in Workshop
Focus on the project that's here all morning.
More after lunch. Thanks.
Rexroth 13.23 GMT
An even later post. Third night I couldn't sleep properly and I've a headache, sorethroat etc. I'm also feeling a bit better now and it's late afternoon.
Todo today
up prayer reflection meditation
deal with post emails phone messages
bath and wash hair
wash coloureds
tidy up and put stuff away
wash up
that's so far and now what? I'm exhausted and lying in bed.
Regards Rexroth
Rexroth 20.45 GMT
Still exhausted and lying in bed and feeling sorry for myself.
What ails you, Lark? I might have a few good home remedies that can patch you up in no time.
To start out, though, you can try this one, which works for most common winter bugs: peel a piece of ginger (roughly half a thumb's size or smaller) and let it boil in a mug's worth of water, then take the ginger out, add one teaspoon of honey and a small piece of butter (really helps with the sore throat) to the resulting tea and drink it while it's still hot. Very, very good. Ignore the taste, the results are worth it.
I'm okay.
It's Rexroth who's not feeling well, but thanks for posting the home remedy. Sounds like it'll work as well as alot of products from the pharmacy. Be well.
Thanks
Thank you Edge, thank you Lark, you are both kind and thoughtful and I appreciate it a lot. It's now Sunday and I'm feeling so much better. Might be going out for a walk later.
Rexroth
:-)
Lol, sorry Rexroth, I meant to type your name :p Glad to hear that you're feeling better now :)
pro's first check-in - 9:15am
No nice welcome message in the thread starter Mollie? I only do it when others don't. I'm not the official day thread welcomer or anything. Whoever arrives first posts the welcome.
Today is my grandmother's birthday. She would have been... 104 or 105. I can never remember if she was born in 1902 or 1903. Anyway, I loved her so I remember her today.
I got up at 8am. I've had breakfast, and I've been emailing with people. I'm thinking about exercising today. I want to start exercising regularly.
I don't know how
Sorry about that, Pro. I don't know how to post graphics other than the checkboxes, which you gave me the filename & path for. I read the instructions, but when I put hover my cursor over the graphics, I don't see a filename & path. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!
oh, okay...
I assumed that if you could post checkboxes, you knew how to post other graphics. The path name appears in Internet Explorer when you hover over the graphic. Are you using Safari on the Mac? That doesn't show the path when you hover.
If you don't know how to post graphics, don't worry about it. I thought you did.
You can post a welcome message in text, though. That's still nice. :)
I use Firefox. But I can
I use Firefox. But I can certainly post a text message in the future.
Me too.
I've tried too, so I usually wait till someone else starts the day. Thanks in advance.
There's another way to do it:
EDIT: Mm, there'a problem with the html code thing, because it's not keeping the codes intact. Help, Pro?
[[I fixed it. Thanks for taking the time to post instructions. It will get lost here, though. If it's not too much trouble, could you repost this on the Graphics page, and also on the "how to for check-ins"? -pro]]
1. Place the mouse over the picture you want and right click it.
2. On the menu list you get, click "Properties"- it's at the very bottom.
3. You will get a popup box. Look at the third category row that says "Address URL". What you should see right next to it is the complete url path to the picture you want, like this: http://www.procrastinators-anonymous.org/files/images/give_up.gif
4. Copy the following part only: /files/images/give_up.gif
(Don't forget to start from the forwardslash "/" before "files").
5. Paste the part you copied above in place of the PASTE HERE bit: <img src="PASTE HERE"> (Keep the quotation marks in place). The end result should look like this: <img src="/files/images/give_up.gif">
6. Place your image code (i.e. <img src="/files/images/give_up.gif">) in the new thread as it is, hit post, et voila!
Now I know how
Woohoo! Thanks so much Edge!
don't worry about it
I just want people who CAN do it to do it. If you don't know how, don't worry about it. Just write a good morning message in text.
Coincidence
Today's my mom's birthday, too :) It's nice that you still remember your grandmother's birthday, Pro :) Shows that you really did/do care.
