. May your week be
. filled with hope !

clement ci - day 46 attempting abstinence

It's been ... not sure since i last went off plan. As movingalong would say i'm counting days imperfectly. And that's ok. It's much better than not counting at all. I have been doing important tasks, not distracted, but i have NOT been planning. so i'm living on the energy left over from my planning habit. but that will quickly fade. It's like eating or bathing or medicine or quiet time You're ok taking 1 day off. But better get back to the nourishment soon.

:) church jesus said "i cam to seek and to save the lost." He came to seek and save me. Not just to save me, but to seek me. Even when i am lost and dont know what to do or where to turn, Jesus seeks me. I certainly have experienced that many times in the last year. thank you jesus!

Please do not leave advice or feedback.  Thank you.  Prayers welcome.

'I say, HigherPower I choose to do the next right thing, according to
your loving vision for me.  This gives me true "empowerment"'.

I need to say this prayer when I feel the sense of demand resistance.  My vision for myself is the following:

*I come on time for work everyday.  I come on time for meetings and appointments with therapists and doctors (five minutes of leeway here is okay).

*I exercise for thirty minutes in the morning, but bottomline once a day before midnight.  I go to the gym at least once a day when it's open, and it's open rarely, so that should be do-able.

*Interviewing for a job at a government agency again, interviewing with an innovative tech company that I have wanted to work for a long time, a company where I believe my ideas will be nurtured and my work will be rewarded.  Applying to jobs where I am appreciated, trust my bosses and have faith in what I'm doing helps me to feel optimistic about myself and my abilities.

*I am restarting my English degree so that I can move on in life.

*I am properly prepared for my comps.

*I brush my teeth and floss before I go to sleep at night.I brush my teeth and use listerine before heading out in the morning.

*I attend one face-to-face 12-step meeting once a week.

*I am turning in my take-home final for functional.

*I attend social events, when invited, provided they are healthy and fun for me.  I have intelligent friends who are safe for me.   I know how to keep myself safe, despite situations.

Progress, not perfection.
Consistency over emergencies.
Do the thing that feels healthy, not "shouldy" or escapist.

Slept badly feeling anxious and woke very early and feel half awake and half asleep. I have one visit to do on Boxing Day and then the whole Christmas thing is over. So today I am getting on with my life again.

Done:
Up prayer and reflection
Checked email and posts

Todo:
Wash up and tidy up food from yesterday
Think on what happened between myself and friend yesterday. It was not bad but challenging.

Spoke to friends on phone and organised meetups for tomorrow and Boxing Day
Prayed and reflected
Wrote journal
Did some selfdevelopment work

and now for bed and sleep
