clement - ci - step 4

11pm

i just did a lot of reading on this site about the steps, and step 4 in particular.

- "made a searching an fearless moral inventory of ourselves."

Recent events in my life--bad things but things i believe god has used for my spiritual growth--have led me i think to be ready to make this inventory. I dont think i was ready to really face my defects before now.

So i'm going to start, just 5 min now. It's late, and i'm tired, so i dont have much time. I will also do 5 min of work. Then go to bed.

11:23pm

done. Thank you God for granting me recovery this 23 min.

Don't really want to do anything.

The hardest part about procrastination is that in the end, after all the theory, sometimes I don't have my priorities straight. I choose play instead of work. Especially on the weekends for whatever reason: be that entitlement to a week of work or just a feeling of time.

I have all the things I need to do on my phone. Will try to do them all.

I read the wiki on motivation yesterday. There were some exciting things in it, in particular a school that tried to teach students without teacher given grades or competition. But nothing that I thought would be useful to apply.

Gosh, I am feeling the same way sad I keep telling myself that I "deserve" time off, but I really don't!

I'm not sure what the answer is, but you are certainly not alone. Lately I just have stopped caring sad

Company coming tomorrow for 3 days! I am feeling way too tired, and I'm a bit worried that I've not recovered yet from the last work-binge that ended Wednesday. Clearly overstressed my adrenals, while still recuperating from the unexpected early ticks and chiggers. Five bites remain infected 6 weeks later despite antibiotics.  I'll see the doc Monday but today I am eliminating all suspected inflammatories from my diet including caffeine and dairy, so withdrawal is making me feel even worse. blah! :-P  At least I know this acute pain is temporary, and means I'm doing something positive to make amends to my health.

So, I've been to meetings, done OA service and sponsoring, some laundry, some kitchen cleaning, watered plants, and rested. Still need to:
CoolSet up online financials at new credit union
CoolMove bill-pays from bank to CU
CoolPay bills
CoolLaunder bedding
CoolDust and vaccuum
CoolDress the guest room
Dress the guest bath
CoolHome repair shop for: tank repair kit, hardscape stones, hose couplers, potting soil, 6 more pieces of sod
Install hose couplers and hook up water to RV for guest1
Install hardscapes, lay mulch and sod, pot the flowers
Water all new plants
Wipe down back porch
Change out throw rugs
Bathe the dog

I'm lol at myself for this insane list - no human being can accomplish this in 6 hours, nevermind an aging exhausted human being working alone!  So I will set my sights to be satisified if my houseguests have clean bedding and working bathrooms by tomorrow night, and consider it grace if I'm able to accomplish any more.

sunday FOLLOW-UP - guests arriving in ~90 minutes, and it's going to be ok. Thank you, God, for helping me, and that J was feeling well enough to help too. Now let me get my focus off self and be a blessing to our guests. Thank you, amen.

no motivation whatsoever

I have been going non-stop this week and got to the point where even more sleep doesn't help. 4.5 hours a day for a week = complete loss of motivation to do anything. Major burnout.

I need to get myself together and spell out every single task, since it's obvious my daily routine is far more crammed than what's mentioned on the list.

Very disappointed in myself.

A bit disappointing overall,

A bit disappointing overall, good work in the early part of the day and later in the evening but not a lot in between!  To improve will try to move away from distractions and keep it going throughout not just sporadically.
