SQL goals

Today I want to do the following in SQL:

Try again to figure out why my "cursor" program works, but gives no result.

Use my electronic tape recorder...record something...and put it on computer, with long term goal of putting sound bite on disk, and making learning cd's.

do some general SQL commands for practice for 15 minutes..(could start with this).  Want to make practice a daily goal...and think of some reward if I keep it up for a week, or maybe or 4 days out of a week.

Showing up.

have cleared out my in-tray, phone book and e-mails.  No excuse now not to write reports, but I'm going into a spin even thinking about it. Will try the chat room and see if that helps

H.

chat room didn't help as no-one responding (obviously all working hard).  I need something to give me positive feedback. I'm going to try pomodoro with 5 mins on and 5 mins reward (gotta start with baby steps!)

5.50pm interesting - once I got going I only needed the first 5 mins reward.  Then worked flat out for 40 minutes.  Have to stop now as the security officer is about to lock up the building.  At least it's a start!

Journey 9:30

Working from home today.   Yesterday was just ok.   The dentist appt. in the morning cut the day short and I had a very long, very stressful meeting in the afternoon.   I worked on one project for a couple of hours but the rest of the day was meetings and dentist.

The one very good thing was that I got to feel a little smug about getting my taxes done early this year!   I am usually one of those people at the PO on the last day, or filing an extension.   Or, I should say, I used to be one of those people!   Over the past 2 years I have gotten my social security stuff straightened out and now I'm able to file electronically AND I did it early.   So, I'll take a self-congratulatory moment for that and also a moment to be grateful for my ongoing recovery in PA.   Of course I still struggle at times, but so much better.

Here's the list for today:

  • Exercise
  • Plan
  • Healthy Breakfast
  • D meeting
  • Goals review/review notes - no more than 20 mintues
  • Write up Project V issues
  • Project M - install plan and prep
  • Project O - run T jobs and check D data
  • Review Project D stuff
  • Son of Horrid Documentation Project - work on this at least an hour
  • Dinner
  • Dishes
  • Laundry - started
  • Prepare food and clothes for T/F
  • feed birds
  • if time, repot a plant
  • Do nails (AFTER the plant lol)
  • BL
  • read and relax with a cup of tea 30 minutes prior to bedtime

update 6 pm not bad - especially considering my son and grandkids stopped by and had lunch here so I took a long lunch break.   Now I'm going to repot that plant, make a quick easy dinner, finish putting away laundry, feed the birds, work on BL a few minutes, then do the dishes, do my nails, and relax while watching american idol.

I did not work on the newest documentation challenge, which must be finished by the end of the month, and shouldn't be too much work since it's just an update of what we did last year but I'm avoiding it because I freaking hate it.    tomorrow I should try to work on that first thing.   Once I have a handle on what actually needs to be done it should be easier to face.
