Hello, y'all - it's a gorgeous day here - sunny and in the 70's. I overslept and missed my 8:30 meeting, but met up with folks for brunch and hit the 11 am meeting. I've talked to a couple of people about PA meetings, and they laugh, but I think as I talk to them they start to get it.

Already done:
Shower
11 am meeting
Pay fine at library; check out books

To do:
Eat lunch
Do dishes (in phases, I have so many to do)
Blog
Pay bills
Cleaning - as yet undetermined
Scoop pan
8 pm speaker mtg?

My friend should be buzzing soon, and then we'll go to the party. I guess I didn't have that productive a morning. Oh well.

What is going on with spam lately? In the last few days I've started to get three times the usual amount. I was getting about 170 a day. Now it's more like 500 a day. I used to clear my spam folder every morning (usually). Now I need to clear it 2-3 times a day.

Question: Why did it take me an hour and 10 minutes to make my bed?

Answer: I am dawdling - answering email, playing with other stuff.

I was reading a book while I ate breakfast and would like to continue sitting here and reading, but that is my downfall. I know I will not feel good if I do this. So I'm pushing myself to finish my wake-up routine, doing nothing else until its done.

I want to get outside today - walk around, get some exercise. I've been indoors too much. I want to get dressed right away and not dawdle the morning away. Let's see if I can manage to do it...

Increasing the quality, decreasing the quantity of things

That's a catchy saying I remembered this morning. After turning the heat on in my workshop I'm going to put things away in my house. When the shop is warm, I'll finish the project on the table, call the customer, and put things away. Then I'm going to start the next project. When glue and paint are drying, I'm going to go to my customer's place to give an estimate(so it can be working when I'm not). I need to commit myself just for today to finish something before starting something else (my biggest downfall).

That's a good saying.

Here's a suggestion for both of us... We might want to put our plans in list form. That way we can move our to-do's to a ta-da list. I've found this helps me to move forward. I'm going to do that now.

almost forgot

I almost forgot I'm going to a party this afternoon. A friend is going to buzz me at 2pm. So I can't wander too far away. Maybe I'll work on my back taxes until then. I can do my Pilates for some exercise.

Well not such a bad day though a bit bumpy at times.

I opened the file on my legal/admin stuff and didn't do much but sorted out, yet again, what to do. This starting over is a waste of time. I really do need to work on it until it's finished.

Thought a friend was coming to visit so didn't go out. He didn't come and I need to be clearer with arrangements.

Did some extra work on money and accounts and sent email regarding getting rid of stuff.

I've spent too much time on the net without using it to any good purpose.

So now its journal and onto bed.
