I went pretty badly yesterday - got scared by a task (a work phone call) and lapsed into bad patterns of reading fiction, not calling anyone for social contact and staying up till 2 am. I did work on one task during that late night time but that is not how I want to do things any more.

I know there are underlying problems related to not feeling good about the work I am doing but not knowing what else I can turn my hand to for income. Also too isolated socially. As I write this I see I am looking for huge global solutions but maybe I should focus more on 'baby step' solutions e.g. ring one friend, give more attention to 'worthwhile' job projects.

Worried about getting things done today - have already spent time today on browsing which although work-related is not focussed on the tasks which need to be done.

Have just made my work lists, but will have shower and go for bike ride first.

I'm getting behind this week, so I need to focus today.

*Recouble probes (I'm going to do the first steps of this today...choosing probes, aliquoting, freezing, talking to LO, making sure that I understand protocol)
*Check on expts
*Finish expt corrections
*Fix samples

*Work on pres (have done some work on this)
*Email McC. (will do this soon)
*Ask 3 recommenders, order transcripts and test scores. (have asked one recommender and filled out transcript request form)

OK, going to start by working on collecting and presentation, then I'll check on expt.

I want to thank my Higher Power for this program, this website, the telephone and online meetings, and my life.

5. Prayer and meditation morning and evening

6. Take shower

7. Get dressed

8. Post and send out Al-Anon literature for today

9. Cook and eat brunch

10. Eat dinner

11. Sweep up stuff off floor

12. Clear table near couch

13. Skin chicken

14. Wash dishes

15. Go through magazines and recycle

16. Move containers

17. Go to work at 5:30 p.m.

18. Write list for tomorrow
