"Call of the Wild": Have a very productive and happy day today! Best wishes from Sophie the cat

Finding a way check in

12.40 pm Thursday

Another lovely picture, Rosebud, thank you.

Feeling a little overwhelmed - it is great having family staying here but somewhat distracting.

Completed reasonable productive day at client's office yesterday after taking Tuesday off to go out walking etc with family.

Today I have done: washing, meeting with friends over work contract, downloaded photos, USB, timesheet.

My to do lists are out of date and looking at me reproachfully, but I actually need to reprioritise.

Must do for work: quote for S, look at document for J.

Also: exercises, rationalise lists, look at software with T, driving lesson, washing in, meditation, cook dinner, piano.

Agnus 3:37pm

DONE> 1. Send R my playbyplay of the last 2 weeks so she knows what's up
DONE> 2. Send A the work order for the onesheet
INTERRUPTION: reviewed invoice on demand from hq; noted major bookkeeping error has now carried over 4 months; much time-sucking with bkkpng - grr
DONE> 3. Review, revise M's 4 versions and send to client
> 4. Finish reviewing edits and comments of Steps 5-10; compile single doc; send to layout
> 5. Have a conversation with G re budget and when we can get full layout.
> 6. Draft a weekly report for R's review - careful language re hot potato client

@journey

Always intrigued how our paths cross, jo. Hope your husband does ok - mine had rotator cuff surgery Thursday and is officially a "patient" (lol) until September - talk about needing patience!

 Thinking of you.

Pluses and minuses

Alright, I have spent the morning messing around on the internet and participating in an administrative back and forth of emails at work. Yesterday turned out to be quite productive, so I feel less stressed right now. I am also dealing with a post-push letdown, and don't want to work as hard today as yesterday. I am also tired, as I managed to overstay at work yet again - with good results, mind you, but it was still a late night - and procrastinate at home before going to bed late. Here's a quick review of the scorecard.

Eliminate unnecessary internet at work: Not really; used it as a stress escape valve, but not excessively

Time tracking: Yes until mid afternoon then lost track

Email 4x work/2x personal (@ work): No/No

Work 12 hours max: No (13 hours)

Daily personal time: Yes, but late at night again, and only internet distraction

Sleep 8 hours min: No (6.5 hours)

Early to rise: No (7 AM)

Early to work: No (8:45 AM)

Early putting plan into action: No (plan to start at 12:30 PM)

So, no progress on the behavioral modification, but pretty satisfying progress at work. Will try to do better moving forward today.

Back to report.

Journey 11 am a night in the ER

Late  start today due to spending the night in the ER with my husband - I thought he had broken his foot but it turned out to be GOUT.   I had no idea gout was so horrible.  He's on bed rest for a few days.   It's a good thing I got rested up yesterday eh?  He's on 3 different medications for it now.  He seems to be feeling better but I think I can use this as an excuse to work from home the rest of the week :).

Meeting right now . . .back later with tdl for the day.
