Alas, my progress yesterday was not as good as the day before: only made it to 1 hour. In my defense, what I was "wasting" my time on was technically something that did need to get done, but I think I over-indulged in it, and it definitely was not a higher priority task than what I really needed to do. I could have easily done it after I completed the first task.

Unfortunately, it was precisely how well I did the day before that made me think, well, then it's all right if I slack off a bit today. I have to not let thisget to me like that. I have to have consistent, good effort.

Show up (done). Looked at calendar but somehow thought it was June 16' thank goodness checked in pa. Having trouble with structure, focus, insecurity, feelings- what helps me the most is writing down the next 3 things and either texting them
calling, or whatever works. Things are moving slowly but they
are moving and I need to remember to be grateful for that. In the past, I would find this totally unacceptable, my self critic was ruthlessly criticizing me so i would shut down and tell myself, "tomorrow I will ...." in pa I learned the consistency of moving forward, even if all I do is show up here, is better than the alternative.
Keep coming back.

Emailing my bosses to find out where I'm at. I was basically fired by being told to resign, so they don't have to pay unemployment. Feel really bad and my husband is already ready to leave me.

When I get like this I need to take more anti-depressants, but I seem to like to wallow in self-pity. It's not that self-pity is a character defect, it is who I am.

It seems like I ask & ask of HP and ruin everything that is given to me. My Mom always said I destroy everything I touch and unfortunately, she's right.

Today I will:
-work out (even though I dont' want to)
-have fun with my kids

Hope it may be possible for you to renegotiate with your bosses on the basis that your dog was ill, plus your previous improved record (I remember your 30 days!).

If not, something better for you soon.

That was a very harsh thing for your mom to say to you; her saying it does not make it true.

Hope that's too bad!  Can you refuse to resign so you can at least get unemployment?  I understand their point of view, but still.   And maybe consider taking those meds . . .

Journey 10 am

Happy Friday!   I've been to the gym, made my to do list, and attended a meeting already.   Maybe I'm turning into a morning person lol.  

I've completed 1 of 5 MITs.  

11:15 2 of 5 mits completed - going out for a nice lunch with coworkers at 11:30 or so.

2 pm 3 of 5 mits completed.  might have time to get to some lower priority items today and maybe even leave a little early. 

5:20 finished all my MITs and several lower priority tasks.  leaving 10 minutes early!

I see I have not checked in since Tuesday (on Monday) - just catching up with everyone's posts. This week has been really different as my (elderly) mother became quite ill and I had to travel down to town (3 hours drive) yesterday to look after her. It has been quite tiring, especially as the pressure to come was on from Wednesday, but I had my office day and an important meeting booked, so arranged for my son to be here. I have also been somewhat resentful at the disruption to my week but now more accepting the situation, especially as my mother looks to be improving.

It has been harder work than what I usually do, so perhaps there's something for me to learn there.

Went to the 5:45 a.m. telephone ACA meeting

Things I will do today

1. Go to the 7 a.m. telephone DA meeting

2. Go to the 8:30 a.m. telephone CLA meeting

3. Go to the 9:45 a.m. telephone CLA meeting

4. Go to the 12 noon telephone ACA meeting

5. Go to the 1 p.m. telephone CLA meeting

6. Prayer and meditation morning and evening

7. Cook and eat brunch

8. Fix and eat dinner

9. Put the rest of the clothes away

10. Take shower

11. Get dressed

12. Go to my friend's apartment and do cat stuff

13. Clear tables near the computer

14. Post and send out Al-Anon literature for the day
