I felt really motivated to focus and organize myself to complete these tasks. It was definitely tiring but I got more excited as I finished each task because I realized I can actually do what I set out to do. I'm glad I returned to P.A.

I would like to limit my use of the dating site to once per day until I get a solid living, so I'm committing to that. I am also committing to staying off pidgin. I am trying to avoid skin-picking one day at a time, and earning money to pay the rent.
Had an interview yesterday. Pls G_d, if it's better, hope I get it. It's more $ too. Feel blessed today, in spite of my rageholic husband, & to be experiencing recovery here.
Stayed up til 1:30PM last night cooking. Still have so much cleaning to do. I'm happy with the way the food turned out and it made me feel so good.

*Teaching homework

Woke late feeling tired and worried about nothing in particular and everything in general
Up prayer and reflection
Out to buy new daysack and to look at other gear
Bought new daysack and a few bets and got some ideas
Was going to do more but I could barely walk in new shoes so came home
Lunch post and emails
and now it is 2.30 in the afternoon

Tidy up - a mess has arisen from nowhere

Received email altering flight and sent copy to brother who is picking me up from the airport. This was action as I forwarded the email within minutes of receiving it. This is new behaviour. I left out the bit of worrying if he would still be able to pick me up and not asking him in case he couldn't. Yes it is illogical.
Phoned friend and left message
Spoke to person in recovery and suggested that they needn't do anything daft
Threw out some rubbish - always a good thing
Did some CBT work i.e. thoughts and feelings about my behaviour today and ways I could change these. Much of this is associated with procrastination
Checked food as I don't want to waste any when I go away next week
Write journal
Sorted out issue with someone who lives in the house. I thought he was angry and he wasn't at all and by asking him a misunderstanding was sorted. Again something that I would have put off in the past.
Give thanks for green shoots of recovery
Still on vacation but having the kids over for dinner so it will be a busy day. The power went out last night at 6 pm so we went to bed at 7:30 and I slept 12 hours. It was great! I guess I needed the rest because I feel rested and refreshed today.

It feels strangely good, after a week of vacation, to be back at it, planning the day's tasks and checking them off as they are completed. I guess that's because I have selected goals that are worth pursuing, at least in my view, and so any progress on them is gratifying. My overriding goal remains to spend $1 less than I bring in this year. I'm not doing that so far, but I may be getting closer. And yesterday the client who owes me $10,000 said I would be paid in 30 days.That doesn't mean I will, of course. It probably means I won't, in fact, at least not in exactly 30 days. But it's the first time they've put a time frame on payments, which is potentially encouraging, at least. Thanks to everybody who reads and posts here. I hope you're well. Here we go...
