Done:
Up prayer meditation
Checked and dealt with emails and mail
Checked list of things to take and to do before going to Italy next week and listed still to do
Reseached on web to find stuff I need and planned trip tomorrow to get it and check transport
Researched where I am going on the web
...or at least to try to push. Got a fair bit done yesterday, left a little later than I wanted, but still much earlier than usual. Had trouble getting to bed, however, so my fatigue has not abated. New work is piling up on my desk, so I have to get started.
Goal 1: No more internet news or email until 5 PM
Goal 2: Attend to one new, urgent case review to which I have to devote whatever time is required until completed, even if it is all morning.
Goal 3: After that, revert to the 15 minute increments approach, with up to 2 increments per case, striving to finish, when possible. I don't want to use incremental approach as an excuse to drag cases out.
Goal 4: Breaks for lunch, dinner, and as needed. Leave by 8:30 PM
Goal 5: Go to bed by 11 PM. This will only work if I leave on schedule. Otherwise, I find myself wanting to stay up to do a few things around the apartment or to look at internet news and sports.
I'm addicted to saying "FU" at work and not doing enough work.

Feeling beat down and defeated today. That's partly due to getting back from vacation and the usual deflating effect of returning to mundane responsibilities. Also to performing poorly on a couple of important jobs this month. I guess it's hard to be perfect. I'll try to do better. Thanks much to all for reading and posting. It seems to help a lot. Onward...
Still on vacation but home from my daughter's. It was also a vacation from the diet although we did get a lot of exercise walking and swimming. Probably not enough to make up for the giant cookie cake though lol.
I'm going now to take my dogs on a short walk - my lab has a bad knee so we don't go on long walks, but she really seemed to enjoy and benefit from the short walks when the little dog was here. They have a large area to play in when they are outside, but she doesn't seem to want to move around much unless I'm out there with her. So, I'm going to take her on a short walk, then get dressed in something I can wear to the gym and then to the grocery store and library, and get outta here. Check back 11ish.
1pm did the above, also stopped by the mechanic to see if I can drop off my car this afternoon and get routine maintenance done tomorrow - they said yes. That changes my schedule a bit, but it's ok cause it needs to be done. Now I'm going to take a shower, update my lists, and do a load of laundry. back at 2ish.
3:30 did the above and changed sheets, now I'm going to unpack from the short trip, do a little straightening and start on cleaning the pantry before hubby calls me to meet him at the mechanics. I think I'll suggest that we go out to dinner :). After dinner, I want to change purses, but I need to be in the proper mood so we'll see.

After a good couple of days, I've gone backwards. I've got an hour between meetings and I've completely frozen. The culprit I think is one particular phone call that I'm worried about. I can't even face writing a todo list. This is getting ridiculous!
Back later with better news I hope
20 minutes later - wow! having posted here made me realise that phone call really was the block. I've done it, and it didn't hurt!
