Happy Thanksgiving!

I am supremely grateful for this fellowship which has changed my life.

I am on call for work this week.  Thanksgiving is normally a very quiet week  to be on call but it's been very busy this week.   I had an emergency change at midnight last night, an outage yesterday, and dealing with fallout from both today.  Still I am grateful that I have a good job that I enjoy even though it is quite challenging at times.  I am also grateful that I volunteered for Thanksgiving week so I can take Christmas week off without guilt.   I have the least seniority in my group so I have to take one of the major holidays at least.   But, you know, had I not found this site 3 years ago, I probably would not still have this job because I was not getting my work done.   I'm happy to still be here and being moderately successful too.  I'm not the top person in my group, but I feel that I'mm doing a good job which is quite a change from the struggling weepy mess I was a few years ago!

Happy American Thanksgiving~

Happy Thanksgiving to all my PA friends and those on PA who I haven't spoken to yet -- very grateful for you all being here and sharing your experiences and all your support.

"Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow." Melody Beattie

Now what's up today? The basics: (check calendar; gratitudes; affirmation; prayer; plan to plan - done) I am moving this weekend to a new larger place with my fiancee and his 2 boys.  The movers come on Saturday. I packed one box this morning and it's time to pack some more before I have to get the Thanksgiving dinner ready. I should be able to pack for 2-3 hours before I go to the bakery & then for a couple more hours before I go for a run.

Today I will be grateful for any awareness I encounter.  I will display gratitude, peace, and dignity when life gets my attention.  I will remmeber that it's okay to accept the temporary discomfort from awarenes because I can trust that it's my Higher Power moving me forward.  M. Beattie
