Morning Slider

Shh - pro's got a migraine.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I'm better now

I still feel some remnants of it, but it's better. I'm tired from the medication.

actually, not better enough

That was wishful thinking. My head still hurts. I took another dose of migraine meds, but I think I may need to sleep briefly to get rid of it.

Glad it's working

I've only had a few migraines, but they were hideous, so I am really glad that the rescue meds kicked in and it wasn't too late. If staying up late wasn't the trigger, I hope that whatever your other obvious candidate is will be taboo from now on!

migraine triggers

Some migraine triggers (like this one) are out of my control. Also, I still have the migraine - I was too optimistic. Took more meds, more tired than ever. Think I'll go program now and take my mind off it (or if that doesn't work, take a nap).

Milo 9:30pm

Gee, I did get quite a bit done today - that feels good!!! I had a fun day with the kids - they were really good and we had fun. I really am blessed with such good kids. I only had 2 times for the whole day when they did a bit of a wobbly each - DD just before dinner (DS 'hurt her feelings'...he's 2 - how did he manage that???!! and she got all hysterical over it while he watched with interest) and DS during dinner (he wanted 'more' but still had half of it on his plate :?, he ended up all frustrated and howling and declared then that he was finished). I tried lots of things but I guess I'll never know what he meant!

Ta Da:
- up at 7:20 (no target, wanted to sleep as long as the kids did!)
- morning routine: kids dressed, fed, happy, my breakfast, swept floor, breaky dishes, folded laundry away, dressed to shoes (no makeup as yet)
- coaxed kids outside, it's another lovely spring day today
- CUOP (it takes longer every day!!!!! So many regular bookenders now!)
- fresh water for DDog
- do makeup
- menu plan
- pack kids bags
- grocery shopping
- unpacked groceries (I had 'help'...will have to tidy it up so DH can find what he's looking for!)
- tidied up with DD
- did a puzzle with DD
- lunch
- emailed boss who is going on 5 weeks leave after today to say bye
- folded and put away laundry I threw (literally!) on the airer last night
- attempted to vacuum rug but the bag was full and it hardly picked up anything. Remembered that the last time I vacuumed I had to take the bag outside to the bin and pull out some off the dirt, fluff and hair so I could reuse it because we didn't have any bags! It didn't work...
- bought vacuum bags on the way to the park
- took kids and Ddog to the park
- vacuumed again! This time it worked well
- cooked dinner and ate with the kids
- unpacked dishwasher
- kids bath, book, bed
- finish cooking the last of the tuna patties to freeze
- dishes
- tidy family room so DH comes home to a peaceful environment (the kids ran riot after dinner!)
- research for client that I have been putting off so much it's now turned into a rather ugly Frog... I did it!!!
To do:
- read more of 7 Habits and do some journalling around it (am revisiting it)
- evening routine: face, teeth, calendar (shine sink already done, lay out clothes not required - it's Saturday, I have time tomorrow to work it out!)

Blown off:
- ironing
- create Big List

The Silence of the Frogs

Yay for you!!!!

Best LOL today!

:P

time bingeing and today's plan

I think that today, instead of continuing to time-binge on my programming will everything else lags, I will take care of this pile that I keep moving from table to chair to stool, back to table.

pro's CI - 8:05am

Migraine meds are starting to kick in (sort of). Pain a little less, but feel nauseous. Kicking myself for not taking pills last night. Want to wait somewhere outside my body while the migraine calms down.

pro's CI - 7:50am EDT US

Head hurts. Migraine, migraine, migraine. I knew I was getting a migraine last night and I could have taken pills to prevent this, but nooooooo. I wanted to see if it would go away on its own.

Got up at 7:30am. Blind with pain. It's raining. No gym today.

Poor thing!

A migraine - just like I predicted!!!! (not that you care right now that I was right or not...I should probably not rub it in right now ;))

Go back to bed - it will help it pass quicker.

you predicted it?

When? Where? I didn't see it.

How'd you know I'd get a migraine? Actually, I've been in migraine mode for the last couple of days. I didn't get them at all for a while, and now I'm getting them every day. That's my usual pattern.

I took the migraine meds the instant I sat up this morning so it might go away. I only have to go to bed when I waited too long and the rescue meds don't work. Sometimes I take a shower in cool water and rub my head to take away the pain.

Sort of..

Milo's prediction

Can you change that to a whatever-you-do-link? I don't know how (I promise I don't!!!!). I know it has 'aref' in it and a target..but forget the rest...

=============

Made into hot link. -pro

Migraines

somebody stayed up too late

and I did it again

It's 2am. I'm baaaaad. And I feel bad. Tired. I'm going to crash on the couch.

It's the programming. I get totally obsessive about it, and my routines go out the window.

Milo 7pm

Hi everyone! Welcome to Friday!

Okay - evening. Time for action. Today is anticrastination day so come hell or high water, I'm doing that research for my client that I have been REALLY slack in doing. It's a 'finishing' sort of thing...'nuff said ;)

Big Frog

LOL about the vacuum. Hmm - now let's see... big frog gets left to the end + you have declared that you have trouble in the finishing department = ???? How's that frog coming along Milo!!???

(P.S. I saw some Milo in the supermarket today, and realised I'd never tried it because it's Nestle - one of my boycotted companies. Normally I try everything veggie in sight - I'm experimental on the food front!).

Norm's 6.10 am BE

This was going to be a 5.30 BE, then the computer re-started itself (been behaving strange since DSO unplugged me without warning last night, thereby blowing my 'early night' - I was making an online payment that 'should' have taken seconds, and needed to get back in to check if it had cleared, get my receipt, and make sure it was logged off properly).

Then of course I was compelled to CUOP ;)

Anyways I've started my Morning Routine and I'm about to jump in the bath. Today's my Anticrastination Day so I'm going to do my routine stuff, my regular Friday stuff, and the rest of the time I'm going to crunch through that Big List.

Milo 1pm

Supermarket expedition went well. Only casualty was an elderly lady who, after DD introduced herself (she's very sociable), asked how old DD was. She got the reply "3 and a half - how old are YOU?". It was hilarious!

DS is now asleep and DD having downtime in front of a DVD, so I have an hour to myself (sort of...).

Ta Da:
- up at 7:20 (no target, wanted to sleep as long as the kids did!)
- morning routine: kids dressed, fed, happy, my breakfast, swept floor, breaky dishes, folded laundry away, dressed to shoes (no makeup as yet)

To do:
- lunch
- email boss who is going on 5 weeks leave after today to say bye
- fold and put away laundry I threw (literally!) on the airer last night
- take the kids out somewhere in the afternoon (park?)
- vacuum rug - it's disgusting!
Evening
- create Big List
- read more of 7 Habits and do some journalling around it (am revisiting it)
- research for client that I have been putting off so much it's now turned into a rather ugly Frog...hmmm...
- Ironing? If I feel so inclined. It's not urgent, I can do it tomorrow night.

Lunch first - am starving!

Old Lady

LOL! What did she say to that?! :D

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

She laughed

And so did every checkout chick and customer in earshot (which was a lot because DD is not exactly quiet!).

And then she said "I'm TOO old, sweetheart!!".

LOL!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

technically it's still 9/14 for me...

But I just wanted to let y'all know that I'll be out of the office until at least 1 pm EST. I've got a meeting and then the dreaded site visits, then I'm going to take advantage of a different setting to crank on a frog, then a birthday lunch.

So! Happy Anticrastination Day and I'll see you in the afternoon, my time!

Milo 10am

Howdy all. Home day today. Not going to try to do too much. Will be working 4 days next week so need to just relax and spend un-stressed time with the kids.

Ta Da:
- up at 7:20 (no target, wanted to sleep as long as the kids did!)

- CUOP (it takes longer every day!!!!! So many regular bookenders now!)

To do:
- fresh water for DDog
- do makeup
- menu plan
- pack kids bags
- grocery shopping (it's a risk taking both kids but they are pretty good so we should be okay...)
- research for client that I have been putting off so much it's now turned into a rather ugly Frog...hmmm...

- lunch
- take the kids out somewhere in the afternoon (park?)

Ha! Ha!

I loved your description yesterday of throwing the clothes on the dryer rack! Yay for you--finding ways to have fun while you do drudgery. We could all be doing that and having more fun!!!!! Hope the kids had a good nap or something so you got to that research today. You're probably in bed now, though, so sweet dreams!

*waves*

Hi Milo! Have a good day! Sounds like a pretty nice one.

This still throws me off.

...This other-side-of-the-world thing we've got going here.

Good to see you "live." I hope you have a great day!

i have the solution

they should get up when normal people do

"normal" people

Don't get Milo started on American attitudes! ;)

And speaking of Americans..

Al Gore has been in Australia and I watched a great interview with him. I thought he was fabulous! Not sure what you guys think of him over there but I think he's awesome (just from what I've seen and heard the last week).

Hope he can convince our Prime Minister (who is George Dubya's lap-dog) to do something about the environment. I doubt he will.

Al Gore

I want him to run for president very badly, and I pray he wins. He's a smart man, and honest. And he knows what's important.

He made a documentary film about global warming that raised awareness of him in this country, and greatly increased his popularity.
