Ok -- here's my issue that's bugging me...for the past 3-4 weekends, I've said to myself "Ok, this can be a big weekend. I can catch up on so much stuff." And I decide to prepare a lot of preliminary tax information for an accountant, plus do 2 or 3 other important tasks. But then I end up web surfing too much, taking a nap or two, etc. and getting only 20% done by bedtime Sun. night. Which is probably what finally drove me to this forum. So frustrating.
Soooo, it's "Groundhog Day" >> Sat. at 1pm. Here I am again. Today, I need to do the following:
10 items uploaded to website by mid-afternoon
spend 1 hr organizing backlog of paperwork this afternoon
wash dishes by dinnertime
clean shower by bedtime
1 load of laundry washed, dried, folded by bedtime
I get that too! (the 'I'm going to do so much stuff/whoops, I didn't do anything') I've found that I actually get a lot more done if I set myself a medium-sized weekend rather than a big one - I think making yourself feel you can do it is vital. If I give myself the biggest tasklist possible, I get really daunted, perhaps because I know deep down I've actually given myself an impossible amount to do in the time...!
Discombobulated, scheduled all day seminar was cancelled for snow, now what? Was really looking forward to getting info. Next one is March 20-Need to "roll with the punches" and not get upset. Tired of this snow. Start with walk.
Still not "satisfied" with new schedule, did some paperwork, now walk.
8pm ck in: Did walk, I am now at "acceptance"level- I don;t have to like it, just accept .Next step gratitude and I have so much to be grateful for. Thanks for being here.
Good morning everyone... not sure I'm thinking completely straight yet. I should hop in shower before 2.5 year old finishes video... then I'll check back.
OK, I'm going to read 3 AvO papers, then I'm going to prep section, then I'm going to clean bathroom, then I'm going to go grocery shopping.
Update 3: One AvO paper read. One half-read to a good stopping point. Now I'm working on reading a difficult paper...it's 13 pages, I'll CI again when I'm half way through.
Just realised I did EVERYTHING on my tasklist yesterday apart from having a shower (which was entirely not my fault - hot water taken up by housemate doing 3 loads of laundry!) The fact that we were up till 3am waiting for said laundry helped... oh, and I can't remember who said they were watching midnight curling, but we went there last night too... it IS bizarrely compelling!

Good morning all!
I have a workshop for another 12-step group, which I am chairing today. My procrastination has made me feel like I am "less than" while doing this.
Whew! I am just going to relize that I am enough, and value my contributions!
Thanks for being here, and have a good day!

Your HP is working through you and your service to the group.HP and your willingness to do service is enough.
