Read the latest on the Boston face-to-face meeting!!!! :)
Hi guys -
so, the first Boston f2f meeting was just this past Monday night, and there were FOUR of us!
Wooo-hoooo!
I have advertised in as many sources as I could think of, and was unsure how effective that'd be, but - it seems to have worked! YAY!
In case anyone's interested: one person came from their town's e-list announcement, another from the Boston.com event calendar listing, and the third came with their friend! (And then, of course, there was me!)
I will continue to list about attendance, and how many people come along with how they found out. My thinking is that this might be useful info for any others looking to set up a meeting themselves!
And - for good measure, of course - please see the meeting details below.
Thanks for all the support around making this happen!
Hugs - MC (meeting info below)

Sorry Greenfrog
Hi!
I saw that you were trying to call into the Monday night phone/face-to-face meeting last night.
I'm really sorry about the confusion.
I'm a member of that group, and we are still in the process of figuring out the details, so have delayed our starting date for incorporating the phone meeting part!
I ALSO delayed telling pro about this, so the 411 on it was only changed yesterday morning.
I'm so sorry the information was unclear for you, and you were calling in to a phone meeting that no one was on!
Crummy!
Please feel free to e-mail me, and I'm happy to answer any questions you might have.
Wishing you well, and - again - so very sorry about the confusion!

NO phone call-ins for Cambridge f2f tonight
Hi PA-ers!
Although we are still planning on making the Cambridge face-to-face a hybrid meeting (which would allow call-ins to participate real-time with the face-to-face folks), we have not worked out all of the details yet, so...
There will be NO call-ins to the Mon night, Cambridge face-to-face meeting tonight, or any other night at this point!
We will let you know when this changes!
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Cheers -

Last Boston face-to-face had 6 attendees!
Yes, it's true!
Six real, live procrastinators showed up for our meeting last night. So awesome. AND, of the six - FOUR were returning attendees. Super-duper awesome!
Topics covered included:
* Receiving and overcoming negative feedback/messages
* Ways to manage the fear/dread associated with tasks
* Reading: Clutter's Anonymous pamphlet about "Spiritual Timing"
It was really great. I have great hope for the future of this meeting, and the expansion of this fellowship. AND...
Next week we're even going to have a speaker! (How cool is that?)
So...if you're in the area, do come next Monday. We'd love to have you. (See info below my sign off.)
Or, if you're thinking of setting up an f2f in your area, I'd love to have someone to share ideas and problem solve with. So - contact me!

Fantastic! Congratulations
Fantastic!
Congratulations
Boston face-to-face meetings going strong! :)
Hi guys,
just a note to give an update on the Boston face-to-face meetings! We've been going for about two months now, and have had at least two people at each meeting. We tend to average three per meeting.
Last night, we had four in attendance - three "regulars," and a newcomer from Connecticut! He actually drove three hours (in the rain) to get to our meeting! Amazing!
Recovery is happening, and the meeting is slowly but surely growing. Such a gift.
For any in the area, do come! We'd love to have you.
Please see the info below, or go to: http://procrastinators-anonymous.org/meetings
Hope to see you there! :)

Yeah-Wonderful to hear about the successes of the program
How wonderful that the people of Cambridge have a face to face. Congratulations on your success in starting the meeting.

Hello, Mama-Cat,
Thank you for your email telling me about the new f2f meeting at the First Congregational Church! Higher Power works in mysterious ways: I have been in procrastination mode on some things for about 2 months now and needed to get my butt back in here. I know that there are many more prospective PA'ers in Cambridge, both because they have shared at other 12 step programs about this aspect of their compulsive behavior, as well as having talked to my psychiatrist about PA, who was very interested and has taken down the website as a reference.
I will need to add this meeting to my rotation, and I can already feel that feeling of 'ugh' coming on, which I identify as a large part of my dis-ease, as I face the prospect of not isolating on Monday nights! I want to own up to it here, because meeting-itus is a problem for me, despite the fact that I have loved all 12 step meetings for all of my various addictive/compulsive behaviors: it is where the solution is.
Thank you for putting together what I have put off doing! What a victory!
best, e
