Face-to-face meetings in Boston
I'm just gauging interest here, but it looks like there are a lot of folks in and around Boston. Would anyone be interested in face-to-face meetings of PA? I'm happy to help organize but I don't want to be the only one!

Jan. 25th meeting in Cambridge
Hi, all. Many thanks to Mama Cat for reaching out to let me know about this upcoming meeting. I am very much interested in attending, but will be out of town on Jan. 25th. I hope these become regular events, especially as the day of the week, time and location you've selected would leave me no excuse to put off attending on a regular basis. Please let me know; I'll also check back onto the site when I get back to town...something I've neglected to do for some months now. Hope you get enough of a turnout to justify continuing!

Had nice trip last wk to Boston but must bow out of Boston mtgs as I am back home. Now, if you all up there are "wicked successful" in setting up regular mtgs, count me in to venture up sometime for sure. Happy 2010 to all.
Boston face-to-face meetings - update
Hi all -
so, I only tried calling a few churches last week, but the consistent response was that scheduling something this close to Xmas was a pain in the tookas for them - either because THEY were closed during that week, or their staff was on vacation, or they just weren't scheduling anything that week...you get the picture.
So...my thinking at this point is to aim for the third week of January, 7 or 7:30 pm, Monday the 18th. All of this will depend upon the date and time actually available at the locale, but that's what I'm aiming for.
I'm also trying to find a location that is not too far off of 128 and that has OK parking, for user-friendliness. :) If anyone has any suggestions of locations for me to check out, please let me know.

I have many 12 Step friends here in the Southeastern US who hail from the Boston area and I'm sure they'd be glad to pass along to their networks the info on a face-to-face meeting there.
Not sure if there are stats on how many AA/OA/AFG/SA/GA members also struggle with compulsive procrastination, but there are more than a few of us here already. (I fantasize doing a thesis on this someday...that is, if I can stop procrastinating my bachelor's degree long enough to actually enter grad school...sigh).

for "best guess" mid week is safest given weather delay .....Tue 29th or Wed 30th..lunch or early afternoon beverage...plus too weird if we as "putter-off-ers" do it on 31st (last day of yr! :-)
