Friendly Reminder on Respecting Anonymity
Hi All,
Just wanted to send out a friendly reminder on respecting anonymity. Sometimes personal details might be shared in the context of a chatbox check-in and/or a meeting chat where only members who are signed on can have access and where information is kept for a short period of time (erased by new lines being typed). Forum postings are permanent and can be viewed by anyone at any time (even people who are not members of PA)...
Just wanted to remind people to avoid posting personal and/or other identifying details that might have been shared in chatbox on the forum.
Additionally, details shared in online meetings of personal and/or other identifying nature (as per meeting traditions) should not be repeated outside the online meetings (chatbox check-ins or elsewhere). This allows members to share and support each other in a safe space.
Thanks!!
Wishing you all a fruitful day of recovery.

privacy/anonymity reminder
Just bumping up this reminder to the forefront.
Note: no incidents have happened recently.
There was/were shy newcomer(s) expressing to me a generic hope that we respect privacy/anonymity in chat.
So I thought I would bump forward this very old thread.
seriously, no biggie ;)
I removed the message that Sarito was responding to because it was in reply to the person who broke confidence. I have put that person's account on moderation, but I don't want to publicly chastise. -pro
just thought i'd post a reminder to all in case some didn't know and/or forgot! btw, did you get my email?
see you around the forum and/or chatbox!
actually, breaking a confidence *is* a "biggie"
I have deleted the message in question.
Forum policy: anyone who breaks the confidence or violates the anonymity of another member will have their posts moderated for a period of time - that is, I will check each post before I release it for public view. I have taken that action in this case.

yes, actually, you are right...
anonymity is very important.
dang
I missed all the excitement! But Pro's right of course, I don't know what happened but we all need to be careful about that. Trust is a big part of our community.
