Recycler CI 3:20pm EST

Hi Pro Buddies!

This morning I walked to the gym and did stretches & ab exercises.

So far today I have gotten my assignment list in good shape for Monday. At lunchtime I went for a walk, then ate my lunch. I have several other things I can work on this afternoon, but was at a good enough stopping place to do my CI. Tonight: walk home, then go to the 12-step meeting of one of my other programs.

This weekend I will CI if my computer is working.

Have a great night, everyone! :)

I had a bunch of errands this AM but now for the last hour I've been unfocused and not getting much done.

MIT#1: Wrap up Project P-7

MIT#2: finalize dates to work on Project T-C2

MIT#3: See if I can at least start on Project W-5

Plus a few other housekeeping items

Keep Coming Back

Yesterday I was sort of feeling like I used to in my other 12 step programs-i.e. hopeless. Then my HP gave me a memory.

I remembered in oa, "working the steps",going to 1 or 2 meetings a day (someone told me that the more meetings you go to, the faster you get better and I wanted recovery ASAP), using all the tools, etc., etc. and then I went into a big relapse.

It was then I realized I am not in charge of my recovery, I am just as powerless over my recovery as I am my problem- things happen in God's time, not my time.even recovery in PA- I don't know how many times I have had this same lesson, but apparently I never learned it.All I can do is keep coming back and trying and God will do the rest in his fashon and time, not mine, he knows what works for me.I just need to keep knocking and showing up. I remember telling myself in my last couple of jobs-95% is just showing up, and that was true.

So today, I have accepted where I am. I did my walk , food shoping, picked up mail, pulled some weeds. I need to fax something for a friend and that I will do now. Lots going on, but I need to keep trying and showing up.

Thanks for being here.

friday's e

Good morning, everyone, and thanks Chick for the thread starter. I got up and out of bed a bit late this morning and am routinely doing my routine. I had an Aha! moment a few days ago and am now combining errands with the morning dog walks. So far I have made deposits at the bank, picked up prescriptions and seen a lot of new parts of the neighborhood while getting in a 40 minute walk each day. I am quite pleased by that. I know, I know, it was so obvious, but for some reason it seemed too overwhelming to do it right: I would feel badly that I was setting up my errand when the dog needed to go out (a common thread in my life has been trying not to take up other people's time and feeling guilty for doing so, even if it really serves me to take the extra few seconds to do it.) So, little errands, like the bank run, which I literally put off for months because it was inconvenient to park, are now getting done.

However, I am really struggling with some issues that I am not facing and I am running out of time and need to ask for support with doing these critical tasks. So, today, I am going to do several of them while I am in here.

first thing, check email. then to do dishes.

asking for help to do the next right thing

1:30 check back. not as much accomplished as I would have hoped for: someone got struck by a train at the local subway stop. When things like that happen I feel unsettled and sad. Just noticing this and wanting very much to not act out because of it.

Instead of doing the laundry I think I will bring some of my paperwork into C's bedroom and work on it in here. If he will let me.

7:50 checkback

I am pleased to see how the day is going. so far I don't think I have eaten any sweets, in fact, I was able to tell that my body was full from breakfast and stopped eating halfway through! Miracle of miracles! I took a short nap, noticed that I was feeling really sleepy and not like going to a meeting and then got up, got on my bike and went anyway. Now I am home and I am not wanting to cook dinner, which I get to observe and do it anyway. I guess feelings are just feelings: they are transient and in constant flux so I might as well just do the next right thing.

Tonight that means doing some paperwork and pushing through the rest of the taxes this weekend. period. otherwise there will be problems with financial aid.

kromer 9:25 CI

Yesterday I found out that a friend who had been struggling with school has decided to leave (maybe permanently). So I went out to dinner with her last night. I think this was the right thing to do, but it's put me seriously behind schedule during a very busy time. I need to make sure that this doesn't trigger procrastination, by keeping my expectations for today realistic (even though I feel really behind).

This morning, I've already gone grocery shopping and done laundry.

Scheduled:
*Student seminar 1-2
*Youth group 4:30-9:00

MITs:
*Review 7 stats lectures (4.5 done)
*Annotate improved list of TFs
*Write 1 pg of lab, email CB

Other tasks:
*Organize papers in room
*Harambee planning
*Finish looking for correlation (jackknifing, better threshold)
*Order backup harddrive+more memory

Breaks:
*Call AG

Right now, I'm going to head to campus to study stats.

Update 2:15--made good progress studying stats.

Thought I needed to do the lab to improve my grade, but turns out I got a 100 on the last assignment, so doing the lab is no longer so urgent. However, I still think it would be a useful exercise. I'm going to finish my other MITs first and finish looking for correlations, then I can work on lab if I have time.

Right now, I'm going to go over half a stats lecture, then annotate half the longer list of TFs (I'll try to make the annotation as automatic as possible, but I'll probably have to do a little of it manually)

Journey 9 am

Happy Friday!   Should be a quiet day around the office, and I hope to get a lot of project work done, and have lunch with friends.  I'm going for a coffee and have coffee and yogurt while I make the ol' todo list.

Hope everyone has a productive and enjoyable day.

Agnus Friday

Posting early for my timezone to start dumping my brain on the page - afraid I'll forget something important if I sleep on this stuff!  Prep everyone for Monday rehearsals. Book travel. Prep timecard. Prep team call. studio 1pm. upload promos. Get budget status report. count sites. guesstimate costs (B, C) and propose changes.

Agnus 9:45am

Major day - taking a cue from kromer to resist the beginning of procrastination, by scheduling myself more realistically. This is a core issue for me!

Already had morning routine, pet care, sponsor call, and got the workmen started outside. I prepped for the team call last night, and read one more chapter for today's final exam.

  • Submit travel requisition
  • Upload more promo materials
  • Email roles for Monday
  • Count sites
  • Rehearse presentation
  • call A @ 11
  • lunch 12
  • leave for studio 12:30
  • team call @ 2

Then schedule action items from the day: budget stuff from team call, timecare, and guesstimating A, B, C costs. Timecard.

Finally, I need to spend some time in my traction unti and do some gentle stretching today, since I've skipped PT for more than a week.

Deej ci 15/05

Got side-tracked this morning by something exciting. I don't know.

To tasks at hand...

  1. work through information notes
  2. work on brochure
  3. pay post box bill

Close enough (its Friday). Instead of item 2 I did some cleaning up and organising of materials - something I probably haven't done in a few years.

Have a good weekend all.:D
