Since I posted my sorrows on Christmas, I thought I'd post that New Year's Eve I will not be alone. I had two invitations. Some friends invited me to come visit them at their house in the Catskills. I couldn't make that - the NYS Dept of Labor chose New Year's Eve for my demand appearance (or lose benefits). But just now I got an invitation to a party at the home of a former boss who I like a lot and haven't see in quite some time. I'm really looking forward to this!

P.S. I should have been in bed hours ago. On the plus side, I'll be able to stay awake for the party!
