Journey's 30 Day Challenge: Early to Bed, Early to Rise

I have been working on building the habit of going to bed on time and getting up on time every day but it's been 2 months now and I haven't made a whole lot of progress!  Starting today I'm going to post the time I go to bed, the time I get up, and the time I get to the gym on weekdays.   Hopefully this will be the inspiration I need to get this habit established.

My goal is to be in bed at 9:30, up at 4:30, at the gym at 5:15.   I know that sounds early but I think it will contribute greatly to accomplishing other goals.

Journey's new 30-day challenge

The early to bed, early to rise habit has not been conquered but it seems a waste to try to focus on it during December when my schedule is so crazy.   This one is going on hold for a while.

The NEW challenge:   Finish my todo list every day for the next 30 days.  This will require thinking through my todo list for the day and planning a REASONABLE amount of stuff to do and REASONABLE amount of goofing off time and me-time.  Poor planning is one reason I feel overwhelmed and then go into procrastination mode - because I put so many things on my list that it can't possibly get done in one day.

I want to re-learn the feeling of success at finishing my list each day.  This means I need to UNDERplan not OVERplan, since the point of this exercise is to experience finishing, not to make a superhuman effort at being over-productive.   S'allright?  S'allright.

this is inspirational. frankly, anyone who signs up for a 5:30 AM class is inspirational or certifiable, lol. But I really like your idea of using this place to log your progress here. I will just say that my goal is to be in bed by 11 and up by 6:30. Realistically, not enough sleep for me, but to commit to an earlier bedtime seems ruthless. Ah, well, you early worms get all the birds lol!

Thanks e

Thanks for the encouragement and also this reminded me that I have not checked in on this goal for a couple days.

Thursday Nov. 20 - in bed at 9:27  up at 4:35, at the gym at 5:32 (better but still a couple minutes late to class)

Let's see, Tuesday I was at the gym at 5:35, my normal 5 minutes late, but Wednesday I got there at 5:20, so yay.

Journey 30 Day Challenge

Monday, Nov. 17 - in bed at 9:35, up at 4:45, gym at 6:10.  Not bad for a Monday I guess, and I do have a good excuse as I got called in the middle of the night Saturday night and had to work a couple hours, so I'm all off schedule.
I meant to track on the weekends too, but didn't think about it this weekend.  My goals for the weekend days are in bed by 10 up at 6.
