kromer 9:52 thesis draft done today!

Didn't post a checkin today (at least, not that I remember, it's been a long day), but I just wanted to brag that I finally finished my senior thesis rough draft. Still have some revisions to do whenever my advisor gets back to me with comments, but it feels so good to have this off my back. Thanks for all your encouragement!

Tonight I'm going to clean up my room a bit an then go to bed *early*. Tomorrow I'm meeting some friends for brunch at 9, before that I'm going to try to clean up house stoves and fridges.

Night, all!

kromer!

wow kromer, what an accomplishment! Being on chat so often with you, doing so many fine grained task so deliberately, you are the poster boy/girl for breaking down tasks into small chunks! Obviously, it works, at least for people like you.

Congrats!

Kromer rocks!

Go, Kromer! That's quite an accomplishment!  Now that you've done the hard part, I bet the revisions will be easy!

Yay, Kromer!!!!!! :)

I know how hard you've been working.

congratulations to kromer!

Way to go!

pro's CI - 9:20pm

My teeth are brushed and I opened up the bed. I'd closed the bed because the cable repair guy was coming, but he never came. I called and got a recording saying he'd be here on Sunday. The guy on the phone told me the wrong day!!

That means I'll have two days with no TV, but that's not so bad. I'm reading a good book.

I'm not sure why I'm so tired, but I'm exhausted. I'll wash the dishes tomorrow. Going to bed now...

Good night!

pro's CI - 9pm

I'm weirdly tired - a lot more tired than I'd expect to be at 9pm. I'm going to start getting ready for bed.

I'm ba-a-ack!

Hi all,

I was away on vacation, and have been recovering from the jet lag all week!  I've missed everyone here -- it's nice to be back.

Next week is going to be really busy, and I really, really want to spend tomorrow getting my place clean (it's kind of a wreck right now.)

To do that, I need to get up at a good hour tomorrow morning.  And to do that, I need to do this tonight:

  • Eat
  • Look up some podcasts to listen to while cleaning tomorrow
  • Do a little stretching
  • Start getting ready for bed by 8:30 (gives me an hour & 45 minutes)
  • Read a little while & get to sleep by 9:00.

Hi Friday Friends!

I'm still computerless at home, so here's my 1-minute check-in at work.

Have deadline projects finished for this weekend.

I won't have a computer all weekend, so have a great weekend, everyone! :)

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)

N's check in

I am now down to about 1.5 hours to write something for my dissertation coach. Been "working" -- i.e. decided I need another bookshelf and drove all over town and bought one -- since 8:48 this morning.

Now I have to actually work.

Okay.

Thanks everyone so much.

8:58 am CI for Lark, sluggish

Good morning folks. This will be "catch up" day. I've been overwhelmed a bit this week, and need to finish a few tasks, return some phone calls, deal with some messes, and get more spiritually centered. Some clients are starting to put the heat on me for some long-term projects, so doing "something" should be in the goal list soon.
Today;
(X)morning things
spiritual time
return phone calls
put un-needed things away for half an hour
work on project A half an hour
" B "
check in around lunch and make this afternoon's list

good luck lark

hi lark,

good luck with those projects. For me those long term projects where nothing is really due for a while, and i can effectively stall my customers for the first half of the time period--those are the worst. Because when i start to feel behind, i feel behind by months. yuk.

But it sounds like you've set out a good plan for yourself today. I hope it works for you. Progress not perfection.

Journey 8:45

I'm the first one here again!

Good Friday morning and here's to a great Mother's Day weekend for everyone.

I don't feel that I've been all that productive this week, although I've been hanging in there.  I'm going to try to end the week on a high, and highly productive, note.

First, email, straighten the desk, and set my MITs for the day.  and coffee.  Back in an hour.

break over, back to work

Journey 4:30

One hour left . . . I'll work on OPM until the end of the day and then go home.  Stayed productive today mostly.

No chores tonight, it's Friday!  Not that I did any chores last night, either.  It's been a long week.  I've been feeling tired all week, even wanting to go to bed early.  I usually have to make myself go to bed.  I'll try to get a little extra rest this weekend.  It's Mother's Day, after all.
