pro's CI - 2:15pm

I need "intentionality" and good time management today. I have a lot to do. One thing at a time. I need a shower, and I need to wash the dishes. Then laundry.

I went to the gym this morning (yay, me!). Now I'm going to have lunch, and then go do laundry. More after that!

Falcon CI Saturday

Hi all!

Just listing the stuff I need to do this weekend. . . after lunch I'll do the next step of figuring out what to do when:

Pay bills
Clean up rug where kitty coughed up hairball :P
Get groceries
Sort out annoying insurance thing
Launder socks, etc.
Launder delicate stuff
Launder white gi shirts
Wrap birthday present
Make chocolate bunnies
Write profile
Learn music
Pick up pants from tailor
House cleaning?

And I have a big stack of books that I'm itching to read.

O.k., going to get some lunch into my system, then I'll check in with a plan.

Falcon

Falcon CI - don't wanna

Don't wanna do nothin'.  But the stuff isn't going to do itself, so. . .

I'm going to set a timer and spend an hour doing useful stuff.  Then I can take 20 minutes to read.  Yay!  Let's see how much I can get done in an hour. . .

Falcon

Falcon CI - that's working!

I had a nice productive hour -- got laundry sorted & a load washed, tidied the kitchen, used enzyme stuff on the hairball spot, got my checkbook balanced, found the laundry room sink was clogged & poured in some drano.  And really enjoyed 20 minutes of guilt-free reading.

Sometimes I find I need to be really explicit & break down my goals to the most basic level.  But today I'm finding it helpful to just make it my goal to "do useful stuff" -- as I go along, I'm feeling motivated to do other little odd things (pick up out-of-place items, etc.) more than I would if I was focused on working down a list.

Going to do it again now!  Check in later. . .

Falcon

Falcon CI - coming along

Not doing too bad!  Amazing how quickly stuff gets done when I'm actually doing it rather than futzing around.

I'm not feeling great, unfortunately -- not awful, just tired & a little headachy.  I want to work on my profile tonight, but am not sure if my synapses are functional enough.  It's really nice out, so I'm going to take a short stroll, then eat dinner & see what my brain is up for.

Falcon

Falcon CI Saturday night

O.k., I think I have enough brain cells working to play with my profile a bit.  I'll do that till no later than 9:00 and then get ready for bed, and maybe reward myself with a little more reading time before I go to sleep.

Falcon

Hi Falcon!Wow, you have kept

Hi Falcon!

Wow, you have kept checking in today as you work on your list :)  Are you going to make the chocolate bunnies?  How do you make them?  Good luck with everything! :)

Recycler

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)

Chocolate bunnies

Thanks, recycler!  I use chocolate molds for the bunnies. . . I'll do them tomorrow, and I think I'll make a caramel pecan filling to go inside them.  And maybe decorate them with a little frosting so they'll look cute.  Making chocolates is a little time consuming, but really not hard to do at all -- but it always impresses people who assume it's harder than it really is!

Falcon

chocolatier

it is one thing to make things that taste yummy, but quite another to make things pretty and yummy. i would love to see them: would you be willing to post a picture of them? Perhaps you could start a cottage industry of Falcon eggs!

Bunnies are done!

. . . and they look cute!  Sorry I don't have a digital camera, or I'd post a picture.  No way I could make a living at chocolatiering, though -- I'm wa-a-a-ay too slow at it!

Falcon

bunnies!

I'm impressed!  yum. . . .

Hi Falcon!

awww, I bet they're cute! :)  I'm sure everyone will like them! :)

Have fun! :)

e's whoops, its evening, i better check in!

Today started out full of great intentions and then my energy went right out the window. I woke up, made a hair appointment, came in here for a bit, ran out the door for the haircut, hit the bakery on the way back home, changed clothes, ate, went right back to bed. I had woken in the middle of the night last night and was up watching tv with my son at 2:30. I cannot really tell how I am feeling, as I have a variety of things which I feel badly about: drinking a little too much last night, not making a phone call that needs to be addressed for school, not following up on my procrastinating tax guy, all of which make me feel less than able. I have spoken at length with a good friend on the phone, straightened up a bit of the kitchen and living room and spent 15  minutes on my room, but now I am into the cookie jar and am eating florentines. I think the food issue has to do with not having drunk my water this morning, so I am recommitting to that so I feel better.

I also had a disappointment this week, and want to own that might be setting me off as a failure. EFT helped with a lot of it this morning, but action is what I need to take to recover.

for right now, I will do 10 minutes on my room again and then plan dinner.

bbl

e's slightly better checkback

okay, i have made limited progress, but I am going to celebrate it anyway. I have folded the laundry and sorted out clothing for the wash. I have also put away some of the clothes. I have also looked at my bank balance, (yikes!), sent a note to the bank and paid an overdue bill. yay for being slightly responsible!

now, to sew on a button.....

cookies!

Save me a cookie!  I've been keeping the sweets out of the house but dh brought home a bag of snickers miniatures and guess who ate them?!

Jo

snickers miniatures!

one of the few candies that are both here and at home: whenever my husband goes shopping he brings home 1 bag for each of us! I have given my bag to my son so that I can ask for some when I want them, but they are not immediately accessible.

Recycler CI 10:25am EST

Hi everyone!

I have checked off the first part of my list for today: straightened the lower level of the condo, took high blood pressure meds, washed & dried a load of clothes, ran dishwasher, took out the trash, bought provisions for the week, and went to the library.

Company will be here soon.

Other things to do (after they leave):  finish putting away stuff, put shoes liners in spring shoes so that I can fix my gym bags for this week (as I had planned to do last night until I realized about needing to do the shoe liners), clean purse & get out my new spring purse, use shredder; watch a DVD tonight :)

I hope everyone has a great day!  Talk to you later! :)

Recycler

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)

Recycler CI 7:25pm EST

Hi!

For part 2 of today's list, I wouldn't have had the emotional energy to continue even these simple projects, except this group is here, so thanks, gals & guy! :)

I have continued to put away an appropriate amount of things; put shoe liners in 4 pairs of spring shoes; fixed 5 gym bags for this week's morning gym (I still need to fix 2 more bags for evening gym, but need to get things out of dryer, which I will do tomorrow); I cleaned out my current purse and transferred the items to my new spring purse.  I used the shredder, and I'm getting ready to watch a DVD.  Whew!!!

When company was here today:  "All's well that ends well," but sometimes things can be very tiring.  I'm glad that life usually happens only in 24-hour segments, because today's events have exhausted me! ;)  So, DVD & then sleep!!!  I'm glad "This is it for me today!!!" ;)  Hugs!!!

Journey 9 am - struggling today -

Good morning, buddies and pals

I did not go to the gym this morning, and I told myself it was because I didn't want to leave dd alone, but the truth is I just didn't feel like going.  I did not exercise at all yesterday, as a matter of fact I have only exercised twice this week.   I know that I will feel better if I get some exercise, so I'm going to make myself get on the treadmill . . . in a little while . . .I'd really rather just crawl back into bed and sleep all day.

Feeling tired is my normal reaction to stress, and I know that, so I just need to work through it.  The thing with her knee is troubling but not all that horrible, it just has to be dealt with, so there you go.

OK, so, here I go, I'm going to take 10 more minutes on the computer then get my fat a$$ on the treadmill.   Tomorrow is my m-i-l's 92nd birthday so I need to figure out what food I'm going to make to take to the party, get to the grocery strore and striaighten up this messy house.  Things will look better in a clean house with food in the fridge.  Right?

Journey waits for someone to give her a nudge in the right direction . . .

Have a great weekend everyone!

Journey 11 am

Thanks for the inspiration!  Still sitting . . . lol

But I made some fresh coffee and put on my exercise clothes and shoes.  I just watched the last part of The Breakup with Jennifer Anniston - I'd seen the first half of that movie about a hundred times but I've never seen the end.  So, setting my timer for 10 more minutes of self pity, then getting on that treadmill!

Journey 1:40

k, showered and dressed.  Still going slow, but going!
Now to make a grocery list.  Getting out of the house for something besides a doctor visit will probably cheer me up too.

Lark @ 9:19am(and 12:24am Sunday)

Wow, it's a slow Saturday here. I hope your weather isn't as gloomy as here. Today for me, planning is going to be crucial. I have to finish a project here, work for a few hours somewhere else, and get my hair cut--all in the right order. My workshop is nice and warm, so getting as much done before HAVING to leave sounds best, and getting the hair cut before they close (early?) and going to my client's home last sounds okay. Of course he'd prefer me to go there first! Decisions, decisions...
Today:
 (X)morningthings
 (X)spiritual (non-me) time
(X)present work project now (even if I don't finish everthing first)
 haircut
 (X)work at client's
 (X)small work project here later
half  hour or so on refinishing table
 (X)check in later

pro's CI - 8:20am

I had a long sleep last night - catchup - so I feel pretty good today. I have a lot to get done!
