Edge's CI - 11:40PM

Today was the last NaNoWriMo day, and I didn't reach 50,000 words. I got a little over 37,000 words only. I'm a bit disappointed, but I know that I tried my best, and the reason that I was unable to reach the full count wasn't because of slacking, but work taking up so much of my time. I think I did my best, and regardless of what anyone thinks, I'm glad with what I have. I just wish I could have gotten in some more. Ah well.

Way to go Edge!

Congratulations on what you've accomplished!

Thanks, Julie & Falcon :-D

I really appreciate the encouragement, hehe. Made me smile

Good for you!

Good for you, Edge!  That's 37,000 more words than you would have written if you'd been slacking the whole time!  And doing your best is always something to be proud of.

By the way, how is your experiment with unplugging all the computer games going?

Falcon

Computer games experiment

Lol, so far so good, though I did have a few weak moments... The other day I had my really tall cousin bring the games down, and I even installed one of them, but the one time I did play it it didn't feel so great. I just lost my hunger, which is good. Going to continue keeping my laptop game free, all for that one game that I didn't enjoy and won't be playing. Now I just have to stop myself from buying NEW and NICER games :-p

Reawakening joy

Hi all,

I've been sad about something that happened in my life (nothing disastrous, just something that bummed me out) right about the same time that winter depression started setting in.  Bad timing!  So I'm battling a down mood and the corresponding tendency to zone out & go into hibernation mode.

I need to reawaken joy and get it flowing through me to wash out the sadness & depression.  And (big surprise) I need to get some stuff done!

So, today:

  • Do laundry & think how much I'll enjoy expressing myself by wearing my favorite outfits
  • Write my xmas shopping list and think of giving love & pleasure to the people I love by giving them gifts
  • Go for a walk and enjoy the sunshine & getting my blood flowing
  • Call L. and enjoy connecting with another person
  • Clean my bedroom & make it a beautiful peaceful place to rest

Need to go get something to eat, and then I can start on this.  Will check in later.

Coming along

Not doing too bad. . . two loads of laundry in, made a first pass at my xmas list, went for a good walk, emailed L. and also emailed S.

Going to take a break for a few minutes, then hang laundry & do the bedroom.

I love your to do list for today! It's  a very nice way to think of the ordinary things that need to be done everyday. Sometimes we don't stop to think about the importance of those common things like making the bed or doing the dishes, and what they mean to us. I hope you had a very joyful day!
